Our Flag

Freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom to do what ever you want within the law.

Just what does this flag mean to me?

I was born in Germany and was almost 14 years old when I came into this country. Yes i knew about the American Flag, The Red White and Blue. I have seen it fly half mast with my Country's Flag in 1963 when President Kennedy got killed.

In June of 1975 I reported to the training Depot of Paris Island, that is the "Boot Camp for the United States Marine Corps. I spent 12 weeks there training to become a United States Marine. every morning and every evening we had to come to attention for the raising or lowering of the Colors (Flag).

But what does this Flag mean to me.

It also is known as the Red, White and Blue with 50 stars which stand for the 50 states of our country.
It also represents our Men and Women who fought and gave their lives in war police actions and conflicts. It represents the families of our comrades who gave their live in Battle for our Nation , for our Freedom.

What does this Flag mean to me?

It means freedom to me in e special way and here is why.

Remember me saying that I went to Paris Island to become a Marine? There was a special day for me in boot camp but I did not know it at that time. One evening our senior Drill instructor told us that we had Color Ceremony in the morning, and we had to look our best. to us it just meant that we had to stand around for a long time before the sun came up. the next morning came, and when it was time we marched out to stand in front of the flag Pole. we did not know what time it was , but at once we heard the call to attention. then the call to Colors. The Bugle sounded over the loud speakers and our flag went up the Flag Pole waving in the wind so proudly.

As I looked upon the Flag so proudly waving in the wind tears started to run down my face( and they are starting to run again, as i am typing this). Now I know what this Flag means to me and why.

This flag means to me FREEDOM and here is why

Because about 2000 years or so a Man died for me and you. He made the alternate sacrifice, and that man s name was/is Yeshua (Jesus). He gave his life so that we can have Freedom in him through his death; but not just freedom but also Life in him.

How does our flag remind you of our Savior? i am glad that you ask.

Red - is for the Blood that he shed on the whipping post and the Cross

Hebrews
9:22 In fact, according to the Torah (law), almost everthing is purified with Blood; without the shedding of Blood there is no forgiveness of sins.

White- for the purity in Yeshua

Revelation
6:11 Each of them was given a white robe

Blue- freedom in Yeshua

Galatians

5:1 What the Messiah ( Savior) has freed us for his freedom! therefore; stand firm, and don't let yourselves be tied up again to a yoke of slavery.

Blue - Royal Priesthood ( in the old days blue stood for royalty)

I Peter

2:9 But you are a chosen people, the kings cohanim ( priests), a holy nation, a people for YAHWEH GOD to posses! Why? In order for you to declare the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

The Stars- The Believers in Yeshua the Messiah

12:3 But those who can discern will shine like the brightness of heaven's dome, and those who turn many to righteousness like the Stars forever and ever.

Sense that day, every time I look at the flag of our Country; The United States of America i am reminded of the day that Yeshua died for me /us.

this is what our Flag the red,White and Blue means to me.

Family Matters

Today I was watching Family Matters, where Steve Urkel asked Laura Winslow out on a date for the
1,000th time. But as always Laura said no also for the 1,000th time. So Steve who is so in love with Laura is willing to do anything to show how much he loves her and for her to go on a date with him. So here he goes and climbs up on the Winslow's roof, and said, that he will not come of that roof until Laura agrees to go out on a date with him. While he is up there on the roof darkness sets in and it begins to snow, but Steve remains up on the roof. Finally at the end of the show Laura agrees to go on a date with Steve , but only as friends, and they hugged. Well if you have watched the show before,Steve takes everything personally. He said You know , you love me ;you know, you love me. "I'm wearing you down! I'm wearing you down baby"

Great love story isn't it?

I know a love story just like that one.

3:18 those who trust in him are not judged; those who do not trust have have been judged already, in that they have not trusted in the one who is YAHWEH GOD's only and unique Son.


The word unique Son means = BLOOD Son.

How much more does YAHWEH GOD have to show us: " How much HE loves us"?

My Testamony

I was born in Germany to a single woman May 21 1955. After she left the hospital she stayed at a Roman Catholic Convent. When it was time for me to be nursed by my mom a Nun would come and tell my mom that the preacher is coming to see here. My mom told the nun not now, I am going to nurse my baby now. At that time an other Nun put me into my mom’s arms and said , “here is the Preacher.”

As I got older 2 brothers came along. At that time my mom tried to kill us and commit suicide. By drowning us in a lake and she keep walking until no return. As she was waist deep, she heard a voice that said: Don’t do it; I need them. You see my step dad who adopted me was an alcoholic, who was abusing her physically and beating us kids. My mom finally got divorced in March of 1960.

As I got older I used to go to church and take my two brothers with me. I was 8 years old, at that time we would walk to church which was on the other side of town. I felt a drawing to go ; By G-D, which I did not know at that time. At one time when I got to church early and my baby brother started to cry , I noticed that I forgot his bottle. He would not stop crying. Some one came up to me and told me that I had to leave the church, because the crying would disturb the church mass. After that I never went back to church. You see I was hurt really bad. (Please be careful what you say to some one in church about there children.)

In about late 1967 my mom got some mail from America, and he letter was from my Oma and Opa (Grandma, Grandpa) in America, asking us if we would like to move to America.. It also said that they would take care of everything.

Close to Christmas 1968 we started packing everything. I remember, when I stopped and asked; Mom can we start all over again. Mom said yes we can. I replied, Mom you don’t understand; can we start all over again. Again she said, Yes. I replied again, Mom you don’t understand; I want to start going to church again, when we get to America. Mom looked at me and said if that is what you want to do, really want to do yes you can. The pulling on my heart was so strong at that time of my life, to go back to church, not knowing what G-D had in store.

On February 5 1969 we left Germany for about an 8 Hr. plane ride to America. Our Plane landed in Boston Massachusetts sometime in the early afternoon.

At sometime during the summer my mom’s youngest sister asked her if she would like to go to church Sunday night. She went and did not get home until well after 10PM. She told me about the church and all the rooms they have in the building. But two (2) interested me the most. The baby rooms. At midnight I called my aunt, woke her up, and asked her, if she would take me to church to see the rooms for the babies. You see the Catholic churches in Germany do not have any rooms for babies. Every day that week I called my aunt and told her not to forget me on Sunday. Sunday finally came, and I called her about every 15-30 minutes which started at 8AM, until she said, one more call and you stay home.

When we got to church, ran thru the church wanting to see the baby room. Then when I got to see the rooms for the babies I was very happy that they let babies come to church and let them stay there. Every Sunday my aunt would take us to church and she would try to translate the best she could to help us to understand what the Pastor was saying. Then one Sunday morning after the pastor was done preaching people went forward to the alter. I asked my aunt what they where doing up there , This is what she said; They are asking Jesus into there hearts. I already knew that I had to go up there; you see G-D was still pulling me towards Him, and now it was time to say yes to G-D. I looked at my brother said lets go took him by the hand and went up front, followed by my aunt. As we got to the front of the church in front of the alter my aunt talked to the Pastor. When they were done she took us into the Pastors office, and told us to wait. Time seemed to stand still while we waited for the Pastor to come to talk to us. Then the door opened and the Pastor came in to talk with us. We talked the best we could and then we started to pray. I remember that I asked the pastor if we could pray in German, and he said yes Jesus knows German. We prayed in German and asked Jesus into our hearts. A year later I was called into the Ministry at the age of 15.

Finishing High School I went into the US Marine Corps June of 1975 until April1981.During the six years in the Marines I got away from G-D. When my time for service was up I was Honorably discharged, then I moved to Florida, to be with my family which moved there while I was in the Marines.
In may 1983 a friend asked me to come to revival, I said not today but tomorrow. The next evening May 10 1983, I went to Revival and at 11;30PM I recommitted my life to G-D. At this time I committed myself to reading and studying the Bible and go to church when ever I could, or someone would ask me .

June 14 of that same year my Opa (Grandpa) died. I went to Mass. For the Funeral and stayed there with my brother for three months. During that time G-D was teaching me about himself. I felled I had college for 3 years. Also I found out that I was Jewish by my biological dad. Coming back to Florida I set out to learn about my Jewish Heritage.

July 27 1986 a friend of mine introduced me to her sister, it was at 7Pm and her name was Cherilyn. Three months later on the day Oct,27 1986 we got married at 5PM. She has two children from her first marriage, Angel, now 31 married to Doug ( a Police officer In Lakeland Fl. He just started this year). They have a three year old girl her name is Shelby( named after the Ford Mustang). And Jeremy who is now 25 years old. He also lives in Lakeland Fl. Also we have a son together Abraham, he is now 20, and moving out at this time. We live up here in Parrottsville Tn. We are happily married for 22 years.

Let there be Light

B'resheet (Genesis)

1:3 Then ELOHIM said, "Let there be light "; and there was light.

1:4 ELOHIM saw that the light was good, and ELOHIM divided the light from the darkness.

4:6 For it is ELOHIM who once said, " Let light shine out of darkness," who has made his light to shine in our hearts, the light of the knowledge of ELOHIM's glory shining in the face of the Messiah Yeshua.

3:19 " now this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, but people loved the darkness rather then the light. Why? Because their actions were wicked

3:20 for everyone who does evil things hates the light and avoids it, so that his actions won't be exposed.

3:21 But everyone who does what is true comes to the light, so that all may see that his actions are accomplished through YAHWEH GOD."

So if we want the light to shine we have to become that light by having Yeshua (Jesus) live in our life and walk in his foot steps

So " LET THERE BE LIGHT"
